Welcome to The Story of Marion County. The goal of this project is to preserve the stories of our Marion County, Tennessee ancestors, which were richly chronicled in newspapers of the time. Unfortunately, most of these papers have not been digitized or indexed, and are only available in clippings and microfilm at local libraries. This site is an attempt to bring those articles out of the filing cabinets and bookshelves, and into the digital world, so that the stories of our ancestors to once again be told.
Every attempt has been made to ensure the accuracy of the index. Some limitations apply, for example, multiple people with the same name may appear under the same heading, or spelling errors in the source material. Please feel free to contact me with any feedback or comments.
